Vernon D. Helder

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, October 24, 1960; admitted to Bar, 1986, Michigan.

Education: Calvin College, (B.A. in Business Economics, 1983). Detroit College of Law (J.D., 1986) Cum Laude.

Member: State Bar Association, Grand Rapids Bar Association. He was a member of the D.C.L. Moot Court team as a brief writer and oralist. He also participated in Law Review. Prior to joining the firm, he was employed as a research attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals. Vern specializes in commercial litigation and collections and has extensive trial experience at both the District and Circuit Court levels. Vern has been with the firm for over ten years. He enjoys boating and sailing and has an interest in classic cars. He and his wife, Kim, have two young boys, Eric Mitchell and Colin Michael.
